Why were you invited to this newsletter?   This is what all of us have in common.

In the early stages of the website some very interesting family history was included. It took us back to the early 1780's with Charles and Sarah Marshall, the parents of Mathew Marshall Ford a Slave. It went on to tell us how Jane Ford a free woman married a slave and so Mathew took on her Surname. And finally, it explained our Early beginnings in what is known as Culpeper, Virginia.

You may not have been a history buff, but Culpeper was the sight of the most military battles in the Civil war.  Why is this important to Our family.  Jane and Mathew (a former slave) ran a commissary for the Union Army in the midst of the war.  Less than a mile away from the homestead was a military jail.

You have to ask yourself: What kind of People were Our Family!  Some of our new readers may still ask : Why  is Jane and Mathew important to us.  Well Jane and Mathew fathered Richard Ford who married Sarah and had Mary T who in turn married Dock Stroud.  Well, hold on Dock  and Mary had 5 daughters who eventually moved to Mount Vernon, N.Y and married into the Haden, Tucker, Michael,  Ford and Wyatt Family.  Need I say more?

 Welcome to the 136th Edition

Peace, love and Continued Blessings Family,
We have to start off this months newsletter on a sad note.  Our Cousin Raheem  Adil Al- Aleem aka Richard William Tucker Jr. made his transition on Sept. 23,2023.  We regret we were unable to share with the family any of the details, but regrettably your author did not receive any details.  We do however, wish to acknowledge his life and his souls return to the Creator.  Raheem was the son of the late Richard W Sr and Majourie Wood Tucker.  He was the Grand child of  Harry P Sr and Helen Stroud Tucker.   Our prayers go out to the Family .

A group of 70 family and friends went to Las Vegas Nevada to participate in Relay for Life. And our young people have returned to school and participating in sports and other activities.

With your help and participation we hope to make it meaningful for everyone. Please send questions, post or event notifications to fullergail@hotmail.com

Relay for life 2023
Where should we start in reflecting on all of the events from this years Relay for Life team in Southern Nevada.  Do we start with having raised some 10.000 dollars as a team, or should would begin with having some 70 Family and Friends participating in this years event.   Could we actually start with our Purple Passion Party hosted  by Mary Royster Harris and Michele Harris Dixon in the Penthouse of the Rio Casinos.

Well regardless of where we start.  we continued by having the best Mistress of Ceremonies of all times with Marcella Fuller Benjamin keeping the crowd involved and aroused for 6 hours.  Her level of enthusiasm was matched only by her brother Victor M Fuller who won for the 2nd year in a row as "Mr. Relay" aka Purplicious.

Our team Flag bearers who are Cancer survivors, were Stuart Haden of New York , Dolores Cooper of Florida, Vernay Justice Royster of California  and Sheila Royster of Michigan

The Nevada Relay had a goal of raising $50,000 . A goal that was smashed when they doubled their projection.  Yes, with your help and team work Southern Nevada Relay For Life raised $100.000!  Again, thanks goes out to everyone who participated and supported this great cause.
Let it be known:  NO ONE IN THIS FAMILY FIGHTS ALONE
